Handle any frogs lately?  Probably not the most helpful question to ask your child if you notice a wart.  Those lumpy, bumpies of childhood just might signal the need for a trip to the pharmacy, but at the very least, you need to learn more about them.  Warts are caused by a virus and are common in childhood.  At some point, everybody is likely to have one, but where the frog myth came from …  we’re just not sure about that one.  What we do know is that warts begin as a small bump but can get pretty big and can be spread if they’re not attended to with some diligence.  Many warts will resolve on their own without any help from the doctor, but if you’ve read this teaching sheet and have followed its advice without success, we’re here to help you.
