“But it HURTS when I go!”  It’s likely, if you are a parent, that you’ve heard your child complain after a trip to the bathroom, and  doctors call that painful sensation dysuria.  Sometimes it progresses to an infection of the bladder or kidneys.  Urinary Tract Infections are not uncommon in childhood, but they often signal some underlying issue that warrants attention after the infection is resolved.  Learn more about when to worry and how to treat UTIs in this teaching sheet.
