What Mothers Say Matters To Our Kids

Posted on Posted in DrDownload

When I’m having ‘one of those days’ at the office, I can always use a reminder that laughter is the best medicine.  A mother’s job is never done.  Today, I saw several parents … one after the next struggling to be better at parenting .  We all signed on to raise great kids, and it’s important to maintain a good, longterm perspective, but that’s not easy.  It’s nice to know the right things to say (and do…especially when our kids are sick.)

Today, we talked about how it’s not so much “what” a mother says… but it’s HOW she says it that counts.  What I say to my kids matters, but how I say it often matters more.

Not to leave out dad’s, but I chose this blog to highlight the gift that moms bring to our kids.  A grateful thank you to the momma who emailed this clever Mom’s Song to cheer up her pediatrician in the throws of a challenging day.  It worked!
